Fetherston Gardens Friends held an AGM on Thursday 10 September 2015. We thank the WCCC for ongoing support and partnership with our community. The committee farewelled Trevor Wilson whose service as the convenor has been extensive, and thanked him for his experience and enthusiasm on the FGF committee. We welcomed Louise Hughes and Michelle Weston to our team. The committee meets at the Raiders Club 7pm on the second Thursday of each month and visitors are welcome. The current committee consists of Lesley Pattinson (Convenor), Paulene Cornish, Gina Howlett, Rosemary Drabsch, Mal Ferguson, Louise Hughes and Michelle Weston. The committee can be contacted on [email protected]
The Fetherston Gardens Friends (FGF) have been active over the winter period removing woody weeds, ivy and blackberry and have our dedicated team of volunteers to thank for the regenerating work, giving of their time and skills to many garden tasks.
We continue a wonderful partnership with TAMS, Parkcare, Weston Creek Community Council (WCCC) who fully support our volunteer commitment enabling work to continue in the gardens. Defence Housing Australia (DHA) site works were completed on Fetherston Ridge with the opening of new Defence Housing. The FGF are working together with DHA to build community ties with our new neighbours on the Ridge.
Anyone interested in the Fetherston Gardens is encouraged to attend. We will be hearing progress reports on the gardens, considering suggestions for future activities in the gardens, and electing a management committee for the next year.
We are always keen to have new members of our small management committee and new volunteers for our working bees and other events.

Everyone is welcome. This will be an opportunity to donate to Fetherston Gardens Friends to help our activities to maintain, promote and develop the gardens as a community amenity for all members of the family to enjoy. We will also be inviting anyone who is interested to sign on as a volunteer.
