Woolworths Cooleman Court have cut back on staff according to one of its section managers.

The shortage of check out staff and facilities is obvious when shopping at Woolworths Cooleman Court during busy shopping hours and the weekend.

Woolworths do well to accommodate an increasing number of shoppers at Cooleman Court, however they should reciprocate by employing more staff and ensure their good work is rewarded accordingly.

Can the WCCC press for the resurfacing of the Cooleman Court carparks? Please do.Dont know where the responsibility lies.

It is hard enough for an able bodied person to push a laden trolley across the rough surface. But the elderly and disabled have major problems and really stuggle whether its pushing a trolley or a wheelie walker - and there are enough of those going to and from the centre.

Please advise what can be done.
Thanks, Graeme.

We've practically given up shopping at Cooleman Court. The quality of produce at Woolworths, the lack of parking space, the long lines at checkouts, all are non-issues at another place which we've started going to instead. Which means we're driving further, not something we're happy about because it places more strain on roads and creates more fuel consumption, but the ACT Government appears to have neglected Cooleman Court and Weston Creek for too long now and there's no relief in site. We're also dreading what the Cotter Road will become once the new suburbs come online, there's no provision for additional traffic, and the bus services are terribly inadequate - we could catch the bus to work (approx 45 mins for one of us, 1 hour for the other) or we can drive (approx 12 mins or 20 mins respectively). Go figure.
