A Public Design Workshop on planning options for the Weston Group Centre Master Plan will be held on Wednesday the 4th of April at the Uniting Church Parkinson Street Weston between 6 and 8.30 pm. This workshop will be run by the Strategic City Planning and Design Group of the Environment and Sustainability Directorate of the ACT Government. Options for the Group Centre will be presented and outlined at this Workshop.
If you have an interest in the outcome of the Master Plan you are encouraged to attend and view and discuss the options proposed for the Group Centre. This is again another opportunity for community input. Remember its "our Centre" and we need your input.
Hi - even though I’m a keen gardener myself, I can’t help think that there are higher priorities than Fetherstone Gardens, or the pretty ordinary public art that has recently appeared in the area. This is tinkering at the edges when what is actually required is some serious thinking about how Weston is going to cope with a major new suburb in the area, given the fact that it is already becoming congested in the Cooleman Court area.
